Official Rules of the SunVolt Green Home Award

The organiser of the SunVolt Green Home Award (the Award) is SunVolt Energy UAB, a company registered in Lithuania under Reg. No. 307557122, with registered office at Berzu al. 1, Samylu sen., Kauno r., LT-53118, Lithuania (the Organiser, we, us).

The purpose of the Award is to recognise, on merit, one SunVolt Club member each year and to help that member move to clean, self-produced solar energy at home. The Award is part of the benefits offered to members of the SunVolt Club (club.sunvoltenergy.eu) and is described in the SunVolt Club Terms and Conditions.

The Award is an annual merit-based awards programme. The winner is selected by a jury that evaluates each application file against published, objective scoring criteria and a points grid set out in these Rules.

There is no random element of any kind in the selection. No draw, no ballot and no random mechanism are used at any stage. The winner is the applicant whose file scores highest on the published criteria, as documented by the jury.

Submitting an application is free. No payment of any kind is required to apply for, to be evaluated for, or to receive the Award.

Each annual edition awards one prize: a complete residential photovoltaic (PV) system, given free of charge and installed end to end. The prize covers the main components, delivery, installation and commissioning, arranged by the Organiser through its certified installer network.

The prize has a value cap set by these Rules for each edition. For the 2027 edition, the orientative value of the prize is between 6,000 and 10,000 EUR, VAT included where applicable. The exact system configuration is defined by the Organiser according to the winner's property, roof and consumption, up to the value cap for that edition. Any cost above the value cap that the winner chooses to add (for example a larger system, battery storage beyond the standard scope, or works unrelated to the PV installation) is the winner's responsibility and is quoted separately.

Conditions of the prize

• The prize is personal to the winner and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.
• The prize is installed only at the winning member's own home located within the delivery area covered by the Organiser's installer network (initially Romania). If the property lies outside that area, the prize cannot be installed there.
• The winner must own the property or hold a documented right that allows the installation, must give safe access to the site, and must hold or obtain any permit, approval or grid connection that the installation requires. The Organiser assists with guidance but the underlying rights and approvals remain with the winner.
• Installation is scheduled by agreement with the winner within the edition calendar. If the winner cannot be reached, declines the prize, or the site is not technically or legally suitable, the jury may award the prize to the next highest-scoring eligible applicant, documented in the minutes.
• Standard product warranties from the manufacturers and the workmanship warranty from the installer apply to the installed system in the same way as for a purchased system.

The Award is open to any natural person who, at the time of application and at the time of the jury decision, is an active SunVolt Club member (a valid, paid annual membership) and who owns a home located within the delivery area covered by the Organiser's installer network.

Employees, jury members, subcontractors and partners of the Organiser who are directly involved in organising or judging the Award, and their close family, may not apply, in order to keep the process fair.

• One application per member per edition.
• Application is free; being a member already gives the right to apply, and no further fee is charged.
• A member may apply in a later edition if not selected in an earlier one, as long as membership is active.

During the application window, an eligible member submits an application file from the member account on club.sunvoltenergy.eu. The file asks the member to describe:

• Property situation: type of home, ownership, roof and location, and whether a PV installation is technically feasible.
• Energy consumption profile: current electricity use and, optionally, recent bills, so the benefit of the system can be assessed.
• Motivation: why the member wants to move to solar energy.
• Impact: the difference the system would make for the household (for example lower energy cost, resilience, environmental benefit).
• Optional photos of the home and roof to support the file.

The member is responsible for the accuracy of the information submitted. Incomplete files may be evaluated only on the information provided. False or misleading information may lead to disqualification, documented by the jury.

Each eligible application is scored against a published points grid. Every criterion carries a defined maximum number of points, and the total score is the sum of the criteria. The weightings for the 2027 edition are:

• Property situation and technical suitability of the installation: up to 30 points.
• Energy consumption profile and expected benefit of the system: up to 25 points.
• Motivation: up to 20 points.
• Impact for the household: up to 25 points.

The maximum total is 100 points. Each criterion is assessed against a short, written rubric so that scoring is consistent between applicants. The Organiser publishes the criteria and their weightings before the application window opens; the same grid is applied to every file. The Organiser may adjust the weightings from one edition to the next, but always publishes them in advance and keeps them fixed for the whole of that edition.

The winner is chosen by a jury. The composition of the jury is public and is published together with the edition calendar. The jury applies the published scoring grid to each eligible file, records the points awarded, and selects the applicant with the highest total score.

The jury's work is documented. The Organiser keeps minutes that record the scores per criterion and the rationale for the decision, including any disqualification or the passing of the prize to the next highest-scoring applicant. In the event of a tie on total score, the jury decides by comparing scores on the highest-weighted criteria first, and records how the tie was resolved.

The jury decision is final. It is taken on merit against the published criteria and is not open to appeal on the ranking. This does not affect any mandatory rights the member has under applicable consumer law.

Enrolment into the SunVolt Club runs through 2026 and continues thereafter. The first edition of the Award is the 2027 edition, with the following stages:

• Applications: first quarter (Q1) of 2027, during the published application window.
• Jury evaluation and selection: second quarter (Q2) of 2027.
• Installation of the prize for the winner: third quarter (Q3) of 2027, scheduled by agreement with the winner.

Exact dates within each quarter are published on club.sunvoltenergy.eu before the application window opens. The winner is announced after the jury decision is recorded.

The 2027 edition runs provided that a minimum number of eligible applications is received during the application window. The Organiser publishes that minimum number together with the edition calendar, before the window opens.

If the minimum is not reached, the Organiser may extend the application window or postpone the edition, and communicates the decision to members. In that case no member loses any other membership benefit, since those benefits are independent of the Award.

Eligibility for the Award derives from active SunVolt Club membership. The annual membership fee buys the membership and its guaranteed benefits, and it gives the right to apply for the Award. The fee does not buy the prize and does not increase any applicant's probability of being selected.

The prize is won only on merit, by scoring highest on the published criteria as judged by the jury. Paying the fee, paying it earlier, or renewing it, gives no advantage in the scoring. The guaranteed membership benefits described in the SunVolt Club Terms and Conditions have their own standalone value, independent of the Award, and a member keeps them whether or not they apply for or win the Award.

Some components of the prize (for example panels, inverters or batteries) may be sponsored in whole or in part by partner distributors of the Organiser, in exchange for visibility. Any such sponsorship does not change these Rules, does not give the sponsor any role in the jury or in the scoring, and does not reduce the prize the winner receives up to the value cap for the edition.

To run the Award, the Organiser processes the personal data in each application file, including the property, consumption and, if provided, photos of the home. This data is used only to evaluate applications, to select and contact the winner, and to install the prize.

The Organiser may update these Rules from one edition to the next, for example to set the value cap, the scoring weightings, the minimum number of applications, or the calendar of a new edition. Any change is published on club.sunvoltenergy.eu before the relevant application window opens, and the Rules that apply to a given edition stay fixed for the whole of that edition.

These Rules are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, where the Organiser is established, and by the mandatory consumer-protection and other rules of the member's country of residence in the EU or EEA, and of Romania as the market where the prize is installed, which continue to apply in the member's favour. Nothing in these Rules removes rights that the member has by law.
